Title: Mary's Prize Winning Chile Verde
Categories: Beef Family Mexican Chili
Yield: 8 Servings

3tbOlive oil
3lbRound steak -- cut in cubes
4 Cloves garlic -- minced
1lgGreen pepper -- chopped
1 Maui
4cnStewed red ripe tomatoes (56
 ozTotal)
  Salt
  Pepper
1/2ozJalapeno peppers (or more)
  Chopped
 pnSugar
1 Handful
1/4tsGround cloves
1tsCumin -- ground
1cSherry
1/2cBeef stock
  Onion -- chopped
  Fresh parsley -- chopped

Heat 5 qt. pan; add oil. Add meat and brown. Add bell pepper and onion and continue to brown. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer for about 2 hours, covered. Uncover and continue to simmer for about another half hour to an hour or until thickened. Serve with rice and Mexican Corn Bread! Delicious! Me ke aloha, Mary
